Wander through our huge produce market and you will find everything from apples and oranges to Choy Sum and Lemon Grass. We’re not saying we carry every fruit and vegetable in the world, but chances are if it grows, we probably have it!
We pride ourselves on the quality of our produce and we’ll take extra steps to make sure our customers only get the best. Take for example, grapes. Grapes come to produce stores already packaged in bags, but as we all know from buying grapes, you have to sort through a bunch of bags to find one that isn’t crushed or damaged. At Michael’s we unpack every bag, get rid of damaged grapes, trim stems, and carefully repack every bag…all by hand. Sure it takes extra time, and sure it would be easier to just leave the bad grapes in the bag, but that would compromise quality, and that will never happen here.
